Clock is light weight compared to past Oregon Scientific Clock we have owned. You can push the snooze button and it lights up the interface and goes dark after a few seconds. Wonderful if you like a dark room as we do. The projection goes back and forth, no turning it which could cause a problem depending on where you put your clock and where you want it to project at. Works for us, nice bright red numbers. Clear. Interface is very readable and nice. So far we are happy. The only thing I would change is to make the projector swivel.

We love being able to see our time projected on our ceiling! This is our 2nd Oregon Scientific clock - our first lasted 10 years. I would have rated this 5 stars if the the projection could be tilted 2 ways instead of just back & forth. In order to place the projection where we want it on our ceiling, we have to turn the whole clock so that we can't actually see the face very easily. Of course, that's not a huge issue during the night, but we have to adjust it's placement every night & day.

I bought this to replace a much older of the same brand. I fixed the arm on my old one several times and one too many drops later I couldn't repair it. This is a decent replacement. I'm a weather junkie and my old one did have the outdoor and indoor weather option, I couldn't afford it for this one, but I miss it. I love that don't have to worry about time change and that this has two alarms. I also love that I don't have to reset the alarm every day. I travel with my clock because I have gotten too used to only having to look up to see the time and without it I feel lost. The only thing this doesn't do for that my old one does is allow me to rotate the projection any way I want. This one only allows 180 degree turns.

I've had several projection clocks but I always come back to Oregon. This one was just right for me. I was really impressed with the projection as the numbers were clear, large, and easy to read. I had a conventional clock but was tired of the constant red glow. This way, I can just reach over and hit the top of the clock to light up the clock face and the projection light goes on, too. You can set the projection on/off so that's it's on all the time.Great feature. There's an alarm but I don't use it. It's not the kind of clock that has all kinds of features just time, month, date, and alarm. If you're looking for more get a more expensive model. The only thing I don't care for is that the time display on the clock isn't as dark as I'd like but that's not a big problem as you can see the projection. It does have an automatic time set or a manual set. I'm lucky in that I have a strong signal here but don't get discouraged if you don't. Use the manual setting and it'll be fine. You have to have a dark room for it to work right (display)or it doesn't show up very well. Don't forget to use the corect time zone. One more thing. You can set the alarm to remain off it you don't use it or need it.

This fills the need I bought it for: It projects the time on my bedroom ceiling so I don't have to turn over to look at a clock on my bedside table in the middle of the night.

I like that it picks up the correct time automatically so it is always accurate. The projector is adjustable in that you can tilt it and rotate the image so looks correct from any location (ceiling or wall). The projected numerals are large and easy to read, thanks to the focusing dial. The brightness of the projector is not adjustable, but it is just right, in my opinion; easy to see in the dark, but not too bright to keep you awake.

My only real gripe is that there is no way to keep the display backlight on all the time. You have to manually touch the top of the clock to get the display backlight to come on for a few seconds. (The projector can be configured to stay on all the time, which is what you want for convenience.) Also, I'm not sure how good it is as an alarm clock, since I don't use it for that purpose. (I have a separate network-connected "clock radio" that I use for awakening.)

I've had this for a couple months now and have had no technical problems with it.
